RPSL Book Reviews Manager Dr. Gwynne Harries FRPSL will give a brief presentation on Writing Book Reviews and the process for publication in The London Philatelist. He will also aim to allay any fears that reviewers and potential reviewers may have as to the skills or abilities that may (or indeed may not) be required to have a review published.

“The Tapling Collection in the British Library’s Philatelic Collections: A Brief Survey”

RPSL Fellow and Curator of the British Library’s Philatelic Collections, Dr. Richard Morel, will present The Tapling Collection in the British Library’s Philatelic Collections: A Brief Survey. In this talk, Richard will briefly consider the life and philatelic pursuits of Thomas Keay Tapling (1855-1891); the management of his collection following its bequest to the British Museum’s Department of Printed Books as well as how it has gone on to form the foundation of the national philatelic collection. The presentation will then finish off by providing details on the collection for research.
